Initial selection round of Derana Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2010 was held at the Mount Lavinia hotel last week. 12 beauties were selected for the final round. They are Ashvini Peiris, Deena Tissera, Dilrupa Shanaz, Falan Ranasinghe, Gihani Gunarathne, Natashia Amenda, Nirasha Dilhari, P. Khristina, Pushpika Sandamali, Shalini Rajapaksha, Shashi Fernando and Sumudu Parasadini. The finals is scheduled be held in mid August 2010.

The twelve who were screened from about 300 were interviewed by a panel of judges encompassing Trerin Gabbalage, Michael Wijesuriya, Rozanne Diasz & Ramzi Rahaman
